Merry Christmas From Faith School of Theology - A letter from Dr. Jeffrey Bell

Dear Friends,

John 1:29 - The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

At this season of the year, we tend to focus on  Jesus the babe, wrapped in swaddling clothes.  How often do we think of what the ultimate future of that baby, born of a virgin would be?  Mary, did you know that when you kissed your baby boy you were kissing the face of God?  Jesus grew up and John recognized Him as the Lamb of God which taketh away the world's sin.  The death of Christ was no accident.  It was in the Father's plan.  He died, that we might inherit eternal life.  May we remember to thank Him for that this Christmas season.

I want to wish you a Merry Christmas and a blessed 2011.  The school goes on break on December 17th .  This will be my last post to you  until school resumes in January.  Over the break we are planning  to remodel the bathroom in the women's dormitory, and to update the chapel.  We will be posting pictures in our January e-mail.

Blessings,

Spreading the News - A letter from Dr. Jeffrey Bell

Dear Friends,

For the first time ever at Faith (to my knowledge), we have a motorized salt and sand spreader that goes on the back of the plow truck.  We have many roadways and parking lots at Faith that get slippery during the winter months.  Previously, we salted and sanded by hand. It was difficult to disperse the salt and sand evenly.  This week we have been able to purchase a spreader - Praise God!

The third step in Phase one of spending the $1,000,000.00 is seeking accreditation for our school.  On Thursday, December 9th  a committee chaired by Rev. Randy V. Crozier (a member of our Board of Directors) met to discuss all the possibilities and challenges of seeking academic accreditation.  Others on that committee are Dr. Gail A. Januskiewicz and Mr. Alston Oliver (professors at Faith). They set aside the entire day for this meeting. Please be in prayer for their decisions.
Blessings,

Saving the Heat - A message from Dr. Jeffrey Bell

Dear Friends,
Savings!  Savings!   Savings!   That is certainly the name of the game in today's economy.    A part of  Phase I in the designation of the $1,000,000 was that we would do projects that would help us to become energy efficient.  By insulating the attic of Tracy Hall (the dormitory building) and the hallways of the Elva P. Valerius Memorial Chapel, we will save thousands of dollars on the heating expenditures.

Blessings,

A Letter of Thanks - A message from Dr. Jeffrey Bell

Dear Friends,

Psalm 100:4   Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise:  be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

Praise God! Praise God! Praise God! Everyday should be a time of thanksgiving to our God, and it is, but I am also thankful that there is a special season of Thanksgiving.  When you thank God for your blessings on Thanksgiving Day, would you also join me in thanking Him for the way that He has blessed Faith?

I am so grateful that as I leave the campus for a time with family, I will not have to be concerned about a mortgage payment or  other bills owed by the school.  God has blessed us to become debt free.

I am so appreciative of  the team that I work with at Faith.  Some have sacrificed many years of their lives for this work.  Others are just beginning with us.  My staff are the ones that help me to work toward  and implement the vision that God has given me for Faith.  I also thank the Lord for the wonderful members of our Board of Directors.  They are a great support to me.  I love all the students that God has given us.  They are a very diverse group, but together they serve God and have a desire to train to do the work of the ministry.

I am grateful for all of our alumni and friends who support us both financially and prayerfully.  I am thankful to the Lord that the future for  Faith looks brighter than ever.

May God bless you and yours and give you a happy Thanksgiving Day!

Blessings,

(Dr.) Jeffrey A. Bell

From the President - Weekly update (11.17.2010)

Dear Friends,

Warm Christian greetings from Faith School of Theology.

STILL MENTORING FOR MINISTRY
In the middle of all that is taking place on our campus with the gift of $1,000,000., we are continuing to keep our focus on the task of Mentoring For Ministry.  Our primary goal is to prepare workers for the harvest field.

Every Sunday we send many student on outside ministry.  This last weekend it was a great delight for me and a trio to be at Northside Assembly in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada, as well as Mill Cove Church of God in Mill Cove, New Brunswick.  While in Mill Cove I met another potential student who would like to be here in the fall of 2011.

Traveling to Africa Africa

In February 2011, Dr. Michael Richard (instructor) and I will travel to Nigeria West Africa.  Two of our students - Mr. Jonathan Thompson of Walhala, South Carolina and Mr. Joel Coleman of New Brighton, Pennsylvania, are giving up their spring break to go with us.  They are raising their own funds for the trip.  While there we will hold a pastor's conference, as well as meet with alumni of the former Christ Ambassador's FST.  We desire to be a blessing to them.   Please pray for this endeavor.

Projects

Watch for our blog post next week.  We will tell you more about the activities at Faith.
Blessings,
Dr. Jeffrey A. Bell

The following is their history from the time they graduated -
·        1993 – 1995 – Interim Pastorate at Zion Pentecostal Church (PAOC) in Garnett Settlement, NB, Canada
·        1995 – 1996 Evangelism and Outreach Pastors at Cornerstone Assembly (PAOC) in Bible Hill, NS, Canada
·        1996 – 2000 – Founding Pastors and Church Planters of Renewed Hope Church of God in Saint John, NB, Canada

ABHE Affiliation - A message from Dr. Bell

Dear Friends,

Warm Christian greetings from Faith School of Theology.

It gives me great pleasure to announce that the school is now affiliated with the Association of Biblical Higher Education (ABHE).  This is the beginning stages of working towards making Faith School of Theology an accredited institution.  In their own words,

"Faith School of Theology is an affiliate institution of the  Association for Biblical
          Higher
Education. As such, it participates in and contributes to collegial and
professional development activities of the association.  Affiliate status does not,
          however, constitute,
imply, or presume ABHE accredited status at present or in the
          future.
"

Thus, we are not accredited yet, but we have aligned ourselves with ABHE.

Monday was an exciting day as I met with pastors in the Boston area.  I had several meetings introducing Faith to Bishop Robert Perry, Pastor Jason LaPlanche, Pastor David Thomas, and Pastor Pierre Defendre.  Several of these men will be coming to see our school in the near future.

Keep praying for us.  The harvest is great, and the laborers are few.

Blessings,

President Jeffrey A. Bell
