And Sent Them Two by Two
Dear Friends, |
Luke 10:1 - After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.
It is time - October 16 - 27 - to send our students out for the Fall Crusade. You won't want to miss our Friday evening service on October 10th at 7:00 P.M. This service will be our "commissioning service". We will tell the student teams where they have been assigned to minister, and we will pray for them. They will be traveling as far north as Canada and as far south as Virginia and West Virginia. They will be preaching, singing, teaching, doing street work, and even some church maintenance. Three of our instructors will also be traveling for the school - myself with a singing team, Dr. Gail A. Januskiewicz with the Drama team, and our school evangelist, Rev. Andy DeRier with students.
You can find our schedules on our website www.faithschool.org (look under NEWS and EVENTS).
There will be no Friday Night Chapel on October 17 or October 24, due to the Crusade, but we look forward to our Chapel on October 31 after students return. It is a beautiful time of year in Maine. The autumn leaves are an array of color. God surely created a magnificent world.
Blessings,
(Dr.) Jeffrey Bell

Excitement on Campus by President Dr. Jeffrey Bell
Dear Friends, |
Excitement is rising on the Campus as the students are arriving to begin the Fall semester!
Each year we start the school year by taking the staff away for a retreat. This year we were at The Cabins at China Lake, Maine. Devotions and special sessions were held to give direction for the school year. Families enjoyed the lake, staff members cooked the meals and cleaned up, games were played, and all had a good time of fellowship. |

From time to time, a class from the original Higgins Classical Institute (founded by Rev. John Higgins) will ask to hold a class reunion at the school. We were delighted a few weeks ago, when the Class of 1964 celebrated their 50th reunion. It was my pleasure to lead them in prayer and take them on a tour of the facilities. They seemed pleased with the upkeep and improvements of the Campus.
Blessings,

Ministry by President Dr. Jeffrey A. Bell
Dear Friends, |
My wife, Faith, and I had a great opportunity to preach in two churches this past Sunday. In the morning we were at Grace Assembly of God in Woodsville, New Hampshire, with Pastor Bruce and Cindy Lee (both graduates of the class of 1974). In the evening we were in Newport, Vermont, with Pastor Mark (graduate - 2004) and Pauline Aube at Faith Lighthouse Assembly of God. At both of these services we presented the school and felt like the Lord talked to hearts.

Vacation by President Dr. Jeffrey A. Bell
Dear Friends, |
My wife, Faith, and I are in New Jersey for a few days vacation. It was our joy to attend a surprise birthday party for Faith's father, Mr. Daniel DiBonaventura, of Millville, New Jersey, who turned 90 years young. We also are visiting with her brother, Nathan, and her sister, Hope.
This week we will say good-bye to staff members - Revs. Glenn and Bethany Gromel as they leave to pastor in Mattawamkeag, Maine; Mr. Russell and Mrs. Amanda Kneeland as they go to operate a Christian School in Hudson, New York; and Mr. Kyle and Mrs. Jennifer Kovar as they relocate to Mississippi. We will miss these staff members and their families! The work continues in Charleston. Thank you to our staff for all that they do - whether it be in the office or on the grounds. Thank you to our supporters. Your prayers and financial help mean so much, and we pray that God will bless you for your sacrifices. Blessings, (Dr.) Jeffrey A. Bell President |

Flowers Are In by President Dr. Jeffrey A. Bell
Dear Friends, |
Luke 10:2 "The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few; pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest."
It was a beautiful day in Charleston as our staff planted 525 marigold plants up the walkways, and in other places around the campus. Some dug holes, others dropped the plants in the holes, and others buried the roots. All will reap the beauty of the flowers.
As we think about the flowers and how they need the soil, sunshine, rain, and weeding to get the finished product, we think about the harvest of souls that the Lord is asking for. In order to reap souls we need to send labourers into his harvest field. To send labourers, we need students to train. At the end of every school year we have churches and other ministries call us for workers. So often, we have to tell them that our graduates are already going to other ministries. Would you pray with us for our student enrollment for the fall? If you know of anyone, younger or older, that would like to attend Bible college, would you tell them about Faith School of Theology? We are here to MENTOR FOR MINISTRY!
Blessings,
(Dr.) Jeffrey A. Bell

Dear Friends, |
What a time we had as we closed out the school year from May 7 - 10. Rev. Christopher Hutchinson of Kingston, Jamaica, spoke at the Wednesday evening service, Thursday morning Baccalaureate, and Saturday Commencement. On Thursday evening a great banquet was held to honor the Class of 2014. On Saturday we granted 126 Associate degrees, diplomas, and Bachelor degrees. Many alumni and friends joined us for this momentous occasion. Over 130 computers around the world were tuned in to the streaming from Faith Auditorium.
This week our staff has put the finishing touches on cleaning up the campus. Our summer crew will start their work on Monday, May 19th. Please keep us in your prayers as we prepare for next year.

First Ghana Graduation by President Dr. Jeffrey A. Bell
Dear Friends, |
I was in Sogakope, Ghana, Africa, from April 17 - 29 at the Faith Theological and Agricultural School. We held our first graduation for ten graduates. I was privileged to be the guest speaker.
The Lord has provided funds so that we now have an on-campus dormitory on the property that we rent for the school. It was previously a six-car garage, and will now house fifteen students, and a classroom/chapel/library.
We are excited about this week as we hold our Emerald Anniversary (55 years) Celebration here in Charleston. A large number of alumni and friends will be coming to the campus to celebrate with us. It would be a pleasure to see you at any or all of the events. For more information please see our website.
Blessings,

Campus Days is Here by President Dr. Jeffrey A. Bell
Dear Friends, |
Today through Saturday (April 10 - 12) is Campus Days at Faith. Today, approximately eighty registrants and chaperones will descend on the campus. They will stay in the dormitories with our students, eat in the cafeteria, attend classes and chapels, and see life in general at Faith. Some of them will make eternal decisions concerning their future and Faith. We welcome them.
I will be flying to Atlanta, Georgia, today, to attend an IABCS convention. While there I will have the opportunity to preach the Sunday morning service at Victory Tabernacle in Conyers, Georgia. I will return to school on Tuesday evening, April 15th.

Mentoring for Ministry by President Dr. Jeffrey A. Bell
Dear Friends, |
One of our main goals at Faith School is to Mentor For Ministry. That is accomplished in several ways. One of those ways is through our Outside Ministry program. Students are sent to churches that request them on weekends for ministry. In addition to this we send our students on a ten-day Crusade each semester. Students are assigned to requesting churches and ministries. This means that the average student will receive sixty days of on the job, immersion ministry before they graduate, in addition to their weekend ministries. We do not know of any other Bible school (there very well may be) that offers this type of program. It is always exciting for the staff when students return from their Crusades.
During this recent Spring Crusade, students saw sixty-eight people receive Jesus as their Savior. Several people were filled with the Holy Spirit, and some significant healings took place.
I ask an interest in your prayers as I prepare to travel to our Bible school in Ghana, Africa, in the middle of April.
Blessings,
(Dr.) Jeffrey A. Bell

Pastor Libby by President Dr. Jeffrey A. Bell
Dear Friends, | |||
Faith School of Theology has lost a good friend. His name was Rev. Ronald E. Libby, and he went to be went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2014, at the age of 80. Many will know him as the pastor of the Charleston Pentecostal Church (1963 - 2000) for 37 years. Pastor Libby served on our Board of Directors from 1976 - 2009. His Godly advice was always welcome. He had also taught some ministerial courses at Faith.
I, personally, considered him one of my mentors. He, along with my dad, Rev. Clifford A. Bell (also gone to be with the Lord) and Dr. Russell K. Pier have been there for me over the years.
Our condolences go out to his wife, Judy, and his two sons, Rick and Mike, and their families.
Blessings,
(Dr.) Jeffrey A. Bell
President
