Mentoring for Ministry by President Dr. Jeffrey A. Bell

Dear Friends,

One of our main goals at Faith School is to Mentor For Ministry. That is accomplished in several ways. One of those ways is through our Outside Ministry program. Students are sent to churches that request them on  weekends for ministry. In addition to this we send our students on a ten-day Crusade each semester. Students are assigned to requesting churches and ministries. This means that the average student will receive sixty days of on the job, immersion ministry before they graduate, in addition to their weekend ministries. We do not know of any other Bible school (there very well may be) that offers this type of program. It is always exciting for the staff when students return from their Crusades. During this recent Spring Crusade, students saw sixty-eight people receive Jesus as their Savior. Several people were filled with the Holy Spirit, and some significant healings  took place. Pastor Libby by President Dr. Jeffrey A. Bell

Dear Friends,

Faith School of Theology  has lost a good friend.  His name was Rev. Ronald E. Libby, and he went to be went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2014, at the age of 80.  Many will know him as the pastor of  the Charleston Pentecostal Church (1963 - 2000) for 37 years.  Pastor Libby served on our Board of Directors from 1976 - 2009.  His Godly advice was always welcome.  He had also taught some ministerial courses at Faith.   I, personally, considered him one of my mentors.  He, along with my dad, Rev. Clifford A. Bell (also gone to be with the Lord) and Dr. Russell K. Pier have  been there for me over the years.  Our condolences  go out to his wife, Judy, and his two sons, Rick and Mike, and their families.   Blessings, (Dr.) Jeffrey A. Update on Dr. Pier by President Dr. Jeffrey A. Bell

Dear Friends,

We have received an update on Dr. Pier's physical condition. This week the doctors removed the tube from his gall bladder, and they say that he is recovering. He is experiencing some nausea, but they have given him a new medication, and trust that will help. Please continue to keep him and his wife, Joan, in prayer.  We are very grateful to those who are helping with the finances so that Dr. Russell K. Pier and his wife, Joan, can be in assisted living in Florida. We are in the midst of a major snow storm. We have about 18 inches already, and it is supposed to snow a good part of today as well. Healing & Ministry by President Dr. Jeffrey A. Bell

Dear Friends,

We have been experiencing a wonderful move of God on our campus in many ways. Just before the students went on February break one of our instructors, Dr. Januskiewicz, was healed of on-going allergies.  She had not been able to enter our chapel building without losing her breath. She is now able to attend functions in the chapel. Our chapel services have been blessed with different people operating in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Lives are being changed for God's glory. At the present time we are preparing to go on Spring Crusade. Prayer is the most important part of that preparation. Students will be going to churches where they will be used in different facets of ministry. Dr. Januskiewicz will be traveling with the Drama team. I will be traveling with the Faith Trio. To the right is my schedule. Dear Friends,

My wife, Faith, and I have just returned from a vacation in Florida. While there, we had the opportunity of meeting with some alumni members. Alumni President, Rev. Morgan Topolski and his wife, Rev. Alexis Topolski were also in attendance. Thank you to Pastors Clayton and Judy Langley and the Praise Temple Church of God in Groveland, Florida, for hosting the same for us. We also saw our founder, Dr. Russell K. Pier. He is doing better, and he and his wife, Joan, will enter assisted living on March 1st. Update on Founder Dr. Russell K. Pier by President Dr. Jeffrey A. Bell

Dear Friends,

Dr. Pier's daughter, Dorene, called me last night with an up-date on her father.  He has improved enough to be moved to a rehabilitation unit for three weeks.  At that time he will enter Grace Manor Suites, an assisted living home, in Lakeland, Florida. This will become a permanent home for him and his wife, Joan.   This residence is administrated by Christians and is only two minutes away from where Dorene lives. Dr. Pier seems very content with the arrangements that are being made. In order to accomplish all of this, Dr. Pier needs approximately $1200 a month added to his finances.   We (Dr. Pier, Dorene, FST) are so grateful for all of those who have made donations and pledges to help him.  We still need more. Dr. Pier Needs You! by President Dr. Jeffrey A. Bell

Dear Friends,

As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. Galatians 6:10 Dr. Russell K. Pier is the founder of Faith School of Theology. He was president of the school for 47 years and taught for 50 years. He and his wife, Joan, presently live in Groveland, Florida. This past week he was hospitalized with an intestinal obstruction. When he leaves the hospital, it will be necessary for him and his wife to move into an assisted living complex in Lakeland, Florida. At the present time they are short on finances to do so. They need approximately $1200.00 per month added to their income to do this. We thought if we could get 120 people to pledge $10 a month, we could help them.  This event has opened our eyes to the establishment of a retirement fund for our staff and faculty at Faith School of Theology. However, at this time it has not been set up, therefore your donation will not be tax deductible until we have arranged for this fund.
