Merry Christmas From Faith School of Theology - A letter from Dr. Jeffrey Bell

Dear Friends,

John 1:29 - The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

At this season of the year, we tend to focus on  Jesus the babe, wrapped in swaddling clothes.  How often do we think of what the ultimate future of that baby, born of a virgin would be?  Mary, did you know that when you kissed your baby boy you were kissing the face of God?  Jesus grew up and John recognized Him as the Lamb of God which taketh away the world's sin.  The death of Christ was no accident.  It was in the Father's plan.  He died, that we might inherit eternal life.  May we remember to thank Him for that this Christmas season.

I want to wish you a Merry Christmas and a blessed 2011.  The school goes on break on December 17th .  This will be my last post to you  until school resumes in January.  Over the break we are planning  to remodel the bathroom in the women's dormitory, and to update the chapel.  We will be posting pictures in our January e-mail.

Blessings,

Spreading the News - A letter from Dr. Jeffrey Bell

Dear Friends,

For the first time ever at Faith (to my knowledge), we have a motorized salt and sand spreader that goes on the back of the plow truck.  We have many roadways and parking lots at Faith that get slippery during the winter months.  Previously, we salted and sanded by hand. It was difficult to disperse the salt and sand evenly.  This week we have been able to purchase a spreader - Praise God!

The third step in Phase one of spending the $1,000,000.00 is seeking accreditation for our school.  On Thursday, December 9th  a committee chaired by Rev. Randy V. Crozier (a member of our Board of Directors) met to discuss all the possibilities and challenges of seeking academic accreditation.  Others on that committee are Dr. Gail A. Januskiewicz and Mr. Alston Oliver (professors at Faith). They set aside the entire day for this meeting. Please be in prayer for their decisions.
Blessings,

Saving the Heat - A message from Dr. Jeffrey Bell

Dear Friends,
Savings!  Savings!   Savings!   That is certainly the name of the game in today's economy.    A part of  Phase I in the designation of the $1,000,000 was that we would do projects that would help us to become energy efficient.  By insulating the attic of Tracy Hall (the dormitory building) and the hallways of the Elva P. Valerius Memorial Chapel, we will save thousands of dollars on the heating expenditures.

Blessings,
